About Our Foundation

Welcome to Sky is the Limit Foundation

The Caribbean region has historically been a place of paradoxes. Its geographical location positions it for both perfect weather as well as devastating hurricanes and earthquakes. In addition, economic distress is rampant. By some estimates, 30 percent of the population in the region lives in poverty.1
The struggles faced by so many people in the Caribbean region can make day-to-day living, education, and work extremely challenging. One way to combat the challenges is by relying on virtual technologies to help schools and businesses operate in the wake of storms and natural disasters.
We founded the Sky’s The Limit Foundation Inc. to give a leg up to underprivileged individuals and families in Jamaica and the broader Caribbean region through the power of education. Based in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, we provide tablets, internet access, software, and other resources designed to help Jamaican schools and businesses operate consistently with the help of virtual technologies. We also provide in-kind and monetary relief to struggling students, families, and communities. Our programs and services are designed to support and empower poor and struggling people of all ages, from children to the elderly, so they can improve their way of life and realize their dreams
The foundation was created by accounting and finance professional Roujo-k Wilson as a way to give back to the lifeblood of our communities: our children. Roujo-k lived a comfortable middle class childhood on different continents. Her world changed when as a young adult she experienced homelessness, financial distress, and domestic abuse. When Roujo-k hit rock bottom, she was living in her car while working in finance for a large corporation. It was her education and the kindness of strangers that lifted her up and helped her get back on her feet. Today she is a mother who decided to pay the kindness she received forward by helping provide the education and economic relief that aided her when she was struggling.

Our Mission

The Sky’s The Limit Foundation Inc. gives a leg up to underprivileged individuals and families in Jamaica and the broader Caribbean region through the power of education. Based in Maryland, we provide tablet computers, internet access, software, and other resources to help Jamaican students thrive at school and at work. We also provide in-kind and monetary relief to struggling students, families, and communities in the region. Our work focuses primarily on doing whatever we can to advance education access in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean.

We also support the promotion and development of the arts and STEM for underserved students through extracurricular and summer programs taught by volunteers with backgrounds in science, technology, engineering, math, and the arts. Our ultimate goal is to “be the change we wish to see in the world” by taking concrete actions at the ground level to empower underserved people to realize their dreams.
